When a patient's commercial insurance abruptly changed its formulary, their essential biologic medication was suddenly excluded. Faced with an impossible out-of-pocket cost, they turned to us. Our clinical team quickly intervened, coordinating directly with the manufacturer's patient assistance program to ensure continuous access. The patient never missed a dose, preventing a critical flare-up of their condition and maintaining their quality of life.
Sourcing Critical Formulations During Shortages
During a regional shortage of a highly specialized cystic fibrosis medication, a local family was unable to fill their child's prescription at any commercial pharmacy.
